A homeowner in Wallingford, CT was getting water seepage in their basement. They reached out to us at Connecticut Basement Systems for a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Brian DiRisi, visited the home to assess the basement and propose our waterproofing system to solve the problem.
Soon after, one of our Foremen, Al, and his crew installed the proposed work. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to capture water seepage. Then they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls to protect them from moisture. Our SuperSump Plus sump pump was put in to take all of the collected water and safely pump it out of the home at a safe distance. As the last layer of protection, our Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth.
Now this entire basement will stay dry all the time and the homeowner has peace of mind!
A homeowner in Wallingford, CT, had a bowing wall in their basement. They contacted us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution to eliminate their worries. One of our Salesmen, Vin Orsini, went to the home to assess the foundation wall and propose our CarbonArmor solution.
Not long after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Victor, and his crew to install the CarbonArmor. These carbon fiber strips are put on the walls to reinforce the wall and to ensure that no future bowing or cracking will occur.
Now that all the CarbonArmor strips are in place, this foundation is now stable and won't be damaged anymore, giving the homeowner great peace of mind.
This house was suffering from settling foundation. Our solution to this problem is the use of our push pier system. This system allows us to go deep down through heavy duty steel foundation bracket to lift your home back to a level position.
Before, this Meriden home had unattractive, rusty and energy deficient windows in the basement. It was clear from just the outside of the home that these need windows needed to be upgraded.
We were able to install our EverLast windows which are far more superior. EverLast windows are maintenance free, resistant against rust or rot and are energy efficient. They will not allow drafts to enter the basement which will lower your energy bill! EverLast windows are both beautiful and efficient, which will make a great upgrade to any basement!
A homeowner in Meriden, CT had a foundation that was cracked and settling, making the basement of the home very uneven. They called our Foundation Supportworks team at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a way to fix their big problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Gus Stozinic, drove to the home to visualize and understand the issues. He knew this would be a job for our Foreman Sergio Alves and Jacob Scott.
Eventually, it would be time to start the work. In order to install the push piers, a trench needed to be dug in the back of the house alongside the foundation. Once that was done, it would be time to begin push pier installation. These go below the footing of the foundation and are then steel pier sections that are hydraulically driven into the ground until they reach stable soil. Then the team would raise the foundation to ensure the house is no longer sagging and the cracks come together, but this is done slowly and carefully. Once the homeowner and Sergio were satisfied with the stabilization, the cracks were sealed on the outside and finally, it was time to backfill with soil. On the inside, the cracks were closed up, but sealed and waterproofed, and then CarbonArmor strips to strengthen and help stabilize the wall. Overall, this was a very large project, but the homeowner was very happy with the results, seeing her foundation was in great shape!
