Connecticut Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Before, this Marlborough, CT basement had a leaky basement. The incoming water left behind unwanted stains on the walls and floors. Plus, all this excess moisture in the basement made the home susceptible to mold growth, which can be a significant health issue for home owners. Hoping to protect his home from this problem, the homeowner reached out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems. Soon after, Sales Representative Glen Knafel arrived to evaluate the basement.

Production Foreman Kevon Barnett traveled to the home not long after that, and quickly got to work eliminating the basement’s stains and moisture issues. First, he installed WaterGuard, our patented perimeter drainage system, which catches water leaks at the base of the basement walls and channels them to a sump pump, where they are pumped away from the home. In this case, that sump pump was our most reliable pump, the TripleSafe. The TripleSafe includes a primary pump, a secondary pump that kicks in when the pump has to deal with heavy leaks, and a battery powered backup pump that is ready to take over in the case of a power outage. Finally, he installed Zen Walls throughout the basement, which prevent air and moisture from flowing into the basement space, and give the room a clean, finished look. The homeowner was pleased with the results, and happy to find peace of mind in knowing that his basement is well protected against water leaks.

A homeowner in Marlborough, CT was getting water seepage in their basement. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution. We sent out our Sales Consultant, Thomas Woods, to the home to assess the issues a propose a waterproofing job. 

One of our Foremen, Vic Varela, and his crew installed this project. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the perimeter to collect water. Then our TripleSafe sump pump will take that collected water and pump it safely out of the home. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed along the walls. Now this entire basement is protected from water and moisture, keeping it dry all the time. 

Water used to collect in this Bolton, CT garage every time it rained. The old drainage system was inneffective, and kept clogging. We replaced it with our WaterGuard perimeter drain and the SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump, featured in the After picture, can pump 2,500 gallons of water per hour out of the basement. After we waterproofed their garage, the homeowners were confident that their house would stay dry even during the most severe rainstorms.

A basement window's job is to let natural light in and beatify the basement. However, water, leaves, and dirt used to collect in this basement window well, making it a disadvantage to the basement rather than an asset. By covering it with the SunHouse window well cover, we were able to keep out the dirt and water that was plaguing the window. The clear cover lets light into the basement, and made the basement bright and beautiful once more!

This homeowner was experiencing basement flooding, so they decided to call us at Connecticut Basement Systems. We quickly sent out one of our Sales Consultants, Tim Kane, to evaluate the basement. He proposed to the homeowner that we install a few of our waterproofing products to eliminate the problem. Once the homeowner set the appointment, we sent in one of our Foremen, Cisco Berrios, and his team.

When Cisco and his team arrived, they got straight to work. They installed our WaterGuard system, which is below the floor, creating a drainage system. They also installed our SuperSump Plus, which works with our waterproofing system to keep the basement dry. Another product that was installed was our TrenchDrain, a drainage system designed to prevent groundwater and rainwater from entering the basement. Now, this customer’s home will be kept dry from any flooding!
